Welcome to Scottish veteran alt-rock/post-grunge band Metatone. A three-piece based either side of the Forth, comprising Andy Colliar on guitar and vocals, John Hughes on bass and vocals, and Rod Habeshaw on drums and vocals.
Sick of trying to be "alternative, just like everyone else," Metatone are a band that are proud to be themselves, playing the music they love the way they want. Independent. Self-produced. We are METATONE, a three-piece Scottish post grunge/rock band either side of the Forth. Our music is inspired by bands like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Biffy Clyro and explores themes of Love, Death, and Psychedelia. METATONE formed in 2010 by life long friends: singer/lead guitarist Andy Colliar (formerly of Endorphin, Holocaust), Bassist John Hughes (formerly of STML), and Drummer Rod Habeshaw (formerly of Soss, Submarines). METATONE released their debut EP, 45 in summer 2021 on all major streaming platforms and CD.
